With support from the Global Education Cluster (GEC), ROHI engaged a consulting firm to facilitate the development of a multi-year strategic plan to guide us as an organization towards the mission and objectives for which we started. We understand the importance of a strategic plan, even to donor agencies as we have in proposal formats. A strategy plan helps NGOs understand their capacities, problems and resources; this is why we believe that the understanding of these areas will help us analyse our strengths and build upon our opportunities ROHI plans to launch her strategy in the coming weeks to mark the beginning of a new dispensation.
The united nations general assembly proclaimed 8 march as international women's day in celebration of the progress made towards achieving gender equality, women’s empowerment and helping millions of women to strive for a greater achievement towards gender equality worldwide. This year, the theme for the IWD is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow” recognizing the contribution of women and girls around the world, who are leading the charge on climate change adaptation, mitigation, and response, to build a more sustainable future for all. This year like previous years, we join the global community to celebrate EVERY WOMAN.
